What the camera sees

A visual map of surface temperature.

Thermography turns infrared temperature measurements into color images, making patterns and differences easier to document across standardized views.

The images do not show anatomy or provide a diagnosis. They are professionally interpreted as one source of information you can discuss with your licensed healthcare provider.

What is medical thermography?

Medical thermography uses an infrared camera to record temperature patterns at the skin’s surface. The images document areas of relative warmth, coolness, and asymmetry for professional interpretation.

Does thermography replace a mammogram?

No. Thermography is an adjunctive tool, not a standalone screening or diagnostic test. It should not replace mammography or other care recommended by your licensed healthcare provider.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No referral is required to schedule. Because a thermography report is not a diagnosis, share the findings with a licensed healthcare provider for medical interpretation and any appropriate follow-up.

What happens during the appointment?

Olivia will review the process, allow time for your skin temperature to acclimate, and capture a standardized series of infrared images without touching or compressing the body.

When will I receive my report?

Most reports are available within 3–7 business days. Your session also includes a 15-minute consultation with a qualified thermology professional to walk through the report and answer your questions.

How much does thermography cost at LiveWell?

Breast thermography is $299 for a 30-minute appointment, torso thermography is $399 for 45 minutes, and full-body thermography is $499 for 60 minutes. Every option includes standardized imaging, professional review, a complete digital report, and a 15-minute results consultation.
